My friend, Jamie, is pregnant with her third child. I met her while I was active duty in the Army in the 85th Medical Detachment at Fort Hood, Texas. She was our FRG (family readiness group) leader, and a friendship has blossomed since. She has let me photograph her newborn, her kiddos, her family and consistently encourages and supports my photography. I’m so thankful for her. 
I didn’t get the chance to be her maternity photographer when she had her last boy, who at now three years old is such a little firecracker and has the BIGGEST love for all things Army. But this time, I was determined that even though we’re living five hours away in Elgin, Oklahoma outside Fort Sill that I was going to take beautiful maternity photos for her.
So we made it happen back in January, and I was thrilled to use my brand new #TAoPAN gown with her. We traipsed down behind their new house to the little creek and attempted to avoid mud and water to get these memories for them. It was so much fun, and I’m super excited to photograph her little pierogi’s birth and newborn photos in April!
Here’s hoping I can make it down to Killeen to watch this dad actually deliver his own baby!!
