I’m Sarah, a maternity, newborn, family, and birth photographer with over 10 years of experience. Your family’s storyteller, toddler wrangler and newborn whisperer.
With 25 years as an occupational therapist, I know how to meet shy kids, big feelings and sensory needs with patience.
I photograph families in their homes, in my studio or outdoors at some of Central Virginia’s most epic locations. My cozy home studio is located in the Midlothian area of Chesterfield County near Route 288, just 30 minutes from Richmond. I regularly travel beyond Richmond for sessions in Charlottesville, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Norfolk, and Hampton Roads. Several times a year, I also photograph families in the Lawton, Oklahoma area.

I’m Sarah — a wife, mom of two teenage girls, Army veteran, and the heart behind Sarah Creal Photography.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me checking out a local coffee shop with my Cowboy husband, walking my beagle, watching college football or listening to true crime and self-help podcasts with my girls.
I’m always up for a good laugh, a new tattoo, and a little chaos. And when I need perspective, I come back to 2 Corinthians 4:16–18.
